We've engineered this heat transfer fluid with a low vapor pressure to eliminate the odor (and employee complaints) associated with many synthetic heat transfer fluids, even at XCELTHERM® HTR's maximum bulk operating temperature of 630°F. First, this provides you with a 30°F extension of the operating range as compared to “hot oil” products operating to 600°F. Second, XCELTHERM® HTR's low vapor pressure helps to reduce leakage and eliminates the need for high pressure design and system component parameters associated with pressurized heat transfer systems.

Finally, when compared to competitive products tested at like operating temperatures, XCELTHERM® HTR offers you superior thermal stability.

Health and Safety Guidelines

A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available on XCELTHERM® HTR heat transfer fluid. To obtain a copy, simply contact your Radco Fluid Specialist Engineer or call our main office.

The MSDS contains complete health and safety guidelines regarding the use of our product. It is important to read and understand this material prior to handling and/or using XCELTHERM® HTR. If you have any questions after examining the MSDS, please give us a call.

XCELTHERM® HTR does not present an appreciable health hazard when used in accordance with accepted manufacturing practices and no special handling precautions are warranted. Although no serious pollution hazards exist, provisions must be made to prevent significant discharge into public waters. And, disposal must be in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations. Of course, XCELTHERM® HTR can be returned to Radco Industries for reprocessing.

Disposal

  • Disposal of XCELTHERM® HTR must be in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Reprocessing or enclosed controlled incineration are recommended.
