Radco Industries XCELTHERM®XT is an alkyl aromatic fluid that is engineered to provide you with exceptional thermal stability over an extended temperature range of -70ºF to 650ºF (-57ºC to 343ºC).

We've also engineered XCELTHERM® XT to deliver superior heat transfer efficiency. The results? In newly designed systems, XCELTHERM® XT's enhanced heat transfer capabilities can result in reduced heat exchanger and pump size requirements. When used as a replacement fluid in your existing system, XCELTHERM® XT can bring about increased system performance.

XCELTHERM® XT ­ for increased heat carrying capacity

When we compared the heat transfer coefficient of XCELTHERM® XT against the competition, results show that XCELTHERM® XT can deliver up to 21% more heat-carrying capacity than equivalent products. This means that you can use XCELTHERM® XT to help you:

  • Increase your production capability ­ at the same flow rate;
  • Deliver the same BTU ­ at a lower flow rate or reduced heater temperature; and
  • Achieve economies in new system design ­ by using XCELTHERM® XT's higher heat transfer capability to reduce your system component costs.

With a pumpability of <-70ºF (-57ºC), XCELTHERM® XT also provides superior low temperature start-up capabilities. This eliminates the need for the heat tracing often required for cold weather start-ups of competitive products.

With its high autoignition temperature of 803ºF (428ºC), XCELTHERM® XT provides you with an additional safety cushion of 153ºF (85ºC) above system operating temperatures of 650ºF (343ºC).

A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available on XCELTHERM® XT heat transfer fluid. To obtain a copy, simply contact your Radco Fluid Specialist Engineer or call our main office.

The MSDS contains complete health and safety guidelines regarding the use of our product. It is important to read and understand this material prior to handling and/or using XCELTHERM® XT. If you have any questions after examining the MSDS, please give us a call.

XCELTHERM® XT does not present an appreciable health hazard when used in accordance with accepted manufacturing practices and no special handling precautions are warranted. Although no serious pollution hazards exist, provisions must be made to prevent significant discharge into public waters. And disposal must be in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations. Of course, XCELTHERM® XT can be returned to Radco Industries for reprocessing.
